Corporate Headshots

Quality corporate headshots are a great way to convey your professionalism. I recently had the pleasure of photographing the team at Graves-Light Private Wealth Management. Getting to know your subjects helps you, as the photographer, to capture their personality. Some people are laid back. Some are more serious. I do my best to reveal a bit of my subject’s personality in their headshot.

You NEED a Professional Headshot

Whether you are the CEO or not, you are the face of your company. Okay, maybe not THE face, but A face. People will judge you and your company based on how you look. We don’t like to admit it, but it’s human nature to judge a book by its cover. We do it all the time.

A series of experiments by Princeton psychologists Janine Willis and Alexander Todorov reveal that all it takes is a tenth of a second to form an impression of a stranger from their face, and that longer exposures don’t significantly alter those impressions (although they might boost your confidence in your judgments).

But more importantly than being the face of your company, you are the face of YOU! Your headshot represents who you are and what you value. Regardless of whether you use your headshot on your company website, social media, or even on your business card, you are always representing your business.

There are several reasons you need a professional-looking headshot:

  1. It conveys your professionalism.

  2. It shows people your personality and approachability.

  3. It's a visual reminder of who you are and what you look like.

  4. A current headshot is authentic.

  5. A high quality image of yourself boosts your self confidence.

Family Headshots

I love headshots. Who says headshots are only for executives, LinkedIn profiles, or social media? Headshots are a great way to capture your loved ones every year. I hope my boys will cherish their headshots when they’re older as much as I do now.
